Workshop Tutor: Dina El-Zanfaly

Workshop TAs: Yasaman Tahouni, Hunmin Koh

"Making Spaces: Lightweight structures for Interactions" was a 3-week workshop held at the MIT school of Architecture by Dina El-Zanfaly and TAship of Yasaman Tahouni and Hunmin Koh. In "Making Spaces", students built lightweight simple structures that could accommodate 2- 4 people. These structures had an aspect of interaction by adding sensors and actuators (i.e. lighting, motors, etc.) to them. The space users were able to interact with the structure and gain new experiences of motion, light, and sound.
